Mods and pics of stuff I've done is all over this site. I've never really kept it a secret.....although these days I tend to regret that a little. Not only are ignorant furd guys on this site to give one grief for some reason. You would be amazed at the ls guys that do exactly the same ****.

You're on track tho. And it's mostly just common sense hotrodding. But you have to think past the next greatest bestest ever camshaft or h/c package to find that out.

Details on Forrest Jr.’s combo:

Built 347 using Mahle aftermarket pistons with a 1x1x2.0mm race car ring pack
12:0:1+
Lingenfelter ported 243s
MSD intake
Hammer-picked camshaft
Ghetto OTR intake with two leaf blower hook ups.
He claims pump gas but with the way he disingenuously downplays his stuff it’s almost guaranteed to be E98.

LS1/6 came with a 1.5x1.5x3.00mm ring pack, the oil control rings had ~12 lbs ring pull.

“Race car” ring pack will be reduced thickness with lower tension oil rings in the sub 10lb pull region.

1x1x2.0mm and .9x.9x2.0/1.8mm ring were literally race-only pieces in the ‘00s.

Call up Total Seal tech right now and ask them their recommendation for a ring pack that sees the street.
The recommendation won’t 1x1x2.0mm

Whole bunch of brats had to turn this great build thread into a "who can say the dumbest false we make more horespower with a 5.7" No lol. Great mild cam results, that is the bottom line.
