Question Opinions on Morel lifters?

What is the general consensuses on the Morel drop-in lifters (p/n: 7717)? I'm looking for something a little better than stock LS7 lifters, but I don't want to spend a grand on Johnson link bar lifters. Is there something better than stock, but not super expensive? The Morel drop-in lifters look good on paper, but I don't know of any one that uses them. Are the Morel lifters any good?

I should probably add the application. I'm building an LS3-based stroker. It will have stock heads, stock intake, stock rockers, and a good sized TSP cam. I'm expecting it to make peak HP around 6400, maybe 6500 rpms. I already have Trickflow pushrods. I just need to decide on lifters. What do yall recommend?

I ran them with the old part number. I had no issues in a LS7 setup with a .660 lift cam. Revved the engine to about 7500rpm. Only thing I did notice was the valvetrain would get a little louder after a few hard pulls but would quiet back down after it cooled off a little. I did run them with 15w-50 oil, which is not recommended.

I planned on running 10W-30, and no more than 7k rpms.

You'll be fine. They are a good lifter, imo.

When I ordered the cam, the guy at Texas Speed said they won’t use any Morel lifter anymore. They only use OE LS7 and Johnson lifters. I have been running the LS7 lifters for several years in my car. I also used them in several other engine builds with no problems. For this engine, I wanted to take out any excessive “slack” or “soggyness” in the valvetrain.
