Default Oval cam gear dowel hole.

Hopefully someone will point me in a direction.
I am doing a dod/vvt delete on a gen4 chevy LS.
I have already ordered 2 wrong cam gears. I need to order
the correct one or is it OK the ream out one of them?

As you can see both of these cam gears have an oval hole but the cam itself has a round pin. The pin does not fit in the hole. Where did I order wrong and how do I order correctly?

Or can I just ream out the 3 bolt cam gear to fit?

NO. You don't ream a damned thing!
The pin rides in the hole BECAUSE the hole is oval along the radius line and there will be no slop.
Quit trying to outthink the engineers... SMH...

Y'all misunderstood the pin doesn't fit into the hole.
I stand corrected! It did fit with some hard wiggling.
Thanks to everyone!
