Smokey Yunick swore by it, as do others. There’s a little to be had there in the right application…but it’s very application specific. I had a long discussion with a JE engineer about this before JE got bought out. He had seen a lot of R&D done on the subject, and we had done some ourselves 30 years back. The conclusion is very minuscule gains. I personally wouldn’t simply install mine backwards, but rather have them custom built with reverse offset, so that they are weighted correctly along with my valve pockets being correct…but that’s just me. Lance is a very smart guy, and he only gives hints here and there on most subjects he talks about…which sounds like jibberish to most if you don’t catch that he’s hinting to you. I’d love to see him do a write up on what he has learned about this through all the stuff he’s done, for comparison sake.

Default Heads for a Spear Chucker

I know when I'm headed in the right direction.
A BIG HEAD (inlet port) will perform batter with stock pin offset.
A SMALL head (inlet port) will perform best when the piston is reversed.
Those Speak Chucker programs are always NEEDED/
I was a Hebrew member; we created a Vires and sent it to IRAN.
NO B2s, no Branco Busters, no 37 HRS of flight/waiting.
We exploded the centrifuges full of U235 AND their mountain location collapsed. Declassified in 2010.
This is common HERE when the engine REV limiter is set TOO HIGH!
