Default Change push rods when installing shaft rocker kit?

Really need some advice!

We have purchased a brand new LS3 6.2L 525hp (LS376-525 crate engine) (part number: 19432418)

This crate engine uses Chevrolet Performance Parts camshaft: 88958770

Specs of engine:
ls376-480-ls376-525-efi-19419864-19419866 (1).pdf

We have installed the Brian Tooley shaft rocker kit:BTRSRKR3KIT
https://briantooleyracing.com/btr-ls...ocker-kit.html

We are using the standard rocker arms. Does that require other pushrods or something, or is it just according to the PDF manual where you just change the entire assembly and push the new bearings into the standard rocker arms?

The reason we are in doubt is because the exhaust manifold gets red hot in idle. But it is a brand new engine so we don't know how it would have run without the shaft rocker kit installed.

It seems to be difficult to tune our way out of it, which is why we are now in doubt if it is required or normal to also change the push rod length?

You ABSOLUTELY need to check PR length. Are the exhaust manifolds actually glowing red? I've heard a lot of people thru the years claim something was "red" hot, and those somethings, while hot, weren't even close to red hot. If your manifolds were actually red hot, it's probably due to the exhaust valves being held slightly open during combustion. This would most likely be because your PR length is too long, and wont let the exhaust valve(s) close completely. I hope you haven't burned the exhaust valves, or have any other damage. Best of luck.....

My first step would be to look at AFR’s at idle and putting a Thermo temp gun on each cylinders exhaust manifold runner to see temps, and how they coincide with AFR’s.
