Default Would a LS7 Intake Fit?

I know this is all hypothetical, but w/ the limited knowledge we have already about it, do you think there is anyway it would fit the LS1 block?

Probably, I'm going to assume that all the LSx series components will be interchangeable with each other, with minor modifications to be made possibly. Probably a dangerous assumption, but there's no way to know for sure except wait and see.

The ports on the LS7 heads are different than the LS1/6 style. They supposedly will resemble C5R port design (a big rectangle). I don't think it will fit unless you have LS7 heads

Thanks for the info. It is interesting how all this stuff bolts up for the most part. The LT1 had the LT4 Heads/Intake, and now the LS1 w/ LS6 Intake, LS2 Intake or LS7 Heads/Intake.

I was thinking the same thing!!
Solve the whole problem of whether or not the intake will fit by just getting the heads to match What do you think those will cost and will the three valve per head design fit on the standard pushrod of the GEN III motor.

The GenIV engine heads are two valve with monster ports (would GM do it any other way ) I would put money on the LS7 heads fitting on your GenIII

ive heard the same, but it has been awhile since i heard anything concrete. if they got the power out of a 2 valve design, i would guess gm would go for the simpler design. unlike ford with their rediculus mustang v8 with crazy cam stuff.

haha i never understood how you ccould have a 3 valve...why not just make it 4...wouldn't you have to use a modular design with 4 cams if you went with 3 valves anyway?

Nope. You could have a fork shaped rocker oparating two valves. I have seen aftermarket kits for small block Chevy.

one huge intake valve and two exhaust valves. its a better design because it moves the exhaust faster allowing a fresh a/f mixture where as a 2 valve can, and sometimes does, leave exhaust from the previous cycle.
