BigTex, if you attempt the LS2 intake and TB swap, let me know how it goes as far as any problems with compatibility with your DBW. Thanks.

I know it doesnt mean much to you Corvette & F body guys but its good news to us truckees!

FYI different part # on throttle body also #12572658 Cost is only 128.60 compared to the vette/goat $300.00 cost. Both are 90 mm but before you get your hopes up it is still fly by wire. Not sure why the huge price difference!

Another interesting note two different injector part #'s....

And one last bit of info...
As I understand it the HP and Torque specs are:
Vette/Goat 400 hp 400 tq
SSR 390 hp 405 tq
Will the $128.60 SSR throttle body hook right up to a corvette ls2 intake manifold and hook up like the ls1 throttle body to the throttle cable on an ls1 powered vehicle?

[edit] - or could it be made to?

No. The SSR throttle body is drive by wire.

Default Measurements and more pics

Sweet. I need more info. Whn will these parts be available?
Available now

Is the SSR intake the same as the existing truck intake manifold?
NO

Are those pics of the LS2 SSR manifold?
Yes

Can anyone take a measurement for me on the width and the height of the intake port on the manifold where it bolts to the cylinder head.
I think you are asking about the actual intake port
it is 2 5/8'" x 15/16"

Flipper - are you 100% sure about these numbers: #12572658 & #89017588.
Yes

Does the 90mm front opening narrow down as it goes back?
Yes

It looks like its 90mm at the front, but squeezes down to 78mm (or something smaller than 90mm) a couple of inches inside the tube.
You either have incredible eyes or great judgement.... That is exactly what it is!

NOTE: There is a good picture showing the upward angle of the throttle body off the manifold

Sorry it took so long guys... been up to my neck in caca.

Do you mind me asking where you got these parts? Did you buy the HPE ring and a FAST TB?

Again, thank you for the info.

I have super-human vision.

If its only 78mm inside this manifold, I may have to make the change to a C6 LS2 intake. I want the full 90mm benefit.

Richard, if you decide to go to the LS2, how are you going to go about doing it? Have you looked into how to make a return setup work w/ the LS2 fuel rails, or will we have to mod the truck stuff to work? Has anyone tried the truck fuel rails w/ the car LS2 intake? Maybe use modded truck rails with a shorter "crossover" so it doesn't stick up over the intake 6".

Haven't completely decided on the fueling yet. I need to see how the truck injectors and truck rails fit to the manifold, then I'll make some decisions. If possible, I'll fab up a new low profile crossover tube (or bend the stock one).

It seems like this isn't much harder than the LS6 swap for us truck guys...other than having to buy the FAST or TPIS TB. Keep us updated!

I believe Racetronix makes a piece to convert non return style rails to return style. It goes where the pulse damper(regulator on return style) is on the non return style and allows the hookup of a return line. It is also adjustable and manifold referenced if I remember right.

Yep, found it. Not sure it's out yet but, worth checking on.

The trucks will take some work to get the pullies rerouted and the coolant fitting on the waterpump housing needs to be moved.

We will have some LS2 rails available very soon. I will keep everyone posted.
