C&D. calls the new LS7 a 6.4lt.
they said the gto had the new ls7 that the new zo6 is going to have.
they said the ls7 is a 6.4lt. engine pushing 575-hp, and 500-lbft, and can rev to 7000 rpm.
and the colorado has a new 6.2lt. called L92 that is pushing 420-hp, and 420-lbft, and the L92 should find its way in the near future trucks.
The Colordo sketch looks HIDEIOUS though

But then again, you never know. Lots of stuff floating around out there now.

With 420 hp, that should make one hell of a ride.
Lightning what? SRT-10 what?
I think the worlds fastest factory pickup is going back to GM soon
I see mid 12 second timeslips out of a factory truck in our near future.
I think I know what my next vehicle is going to be. I hope it doesn't cost as much as a corvette.

j/k) Anways I'm going with the 7.0 number. Maybe I'm just in denial but I would sure like to see that monster go into production. And on the truck thing I totally agree GM will hold that title again soon enough I'm sure.

Much more intriguing IMO than that SSR thing. Of course I've said this same stuff what seems like a million times in the past. Maybe they're finally starting to listen to me...

I think a smaller, 4.2 liter V-8 long stroke V-8 will be fine. Or even something like a 4.6.

That pretty much confirms a 7L version, but I too have heard of a smaller stroke offering, but no specifics on what vehicles it would be in. I did see an article about a 3 valve version of this motor for the Colorado pickup, supposedly a high end sport model.
No way it is going to have 575 because it has already been difficult by all the articles in the last several months to reach 500hp with something like the 6.4.... When it comes to corvettes, GM don't want customers to pay a gas guzzler tax plus the car must be able to be certified in all 50 states..especially the smog **** state of CA
