To get longevity out of a motor with that kind of stroke spinning to 7k they will have to definetly use some lightweight pistons and rods. I've heard the price of the new zo6 will no longer be on par of the current ones, it's supposed to be in the 60k range(just speculation though). I'm assuming the extra cost has to be accounted for somewhere so i wouldn't be surprised if they did come with them. It will be a real dissapointment if the top of the rotating assembly with crappy cast hypereutectic pistons as listed though.

Is the engine in the rear or in the front? I presume it is still in the front (unfortunately) but they have those weird scoops...are those just rice?

Yes, they're just rice, it will have a huge optional rear wing available as well.
It's not a Honda or Toyota Z06 ya know.

Those are likely functional air ducts for the rear brakes, just like the Z06 has had for the past 4 years.

i dont like the hood scoop, however i do like the hood on the c6r, that **** it hot. they should have gave it a hood to look more agressive and more mean, and bumper too.

Bit on th Porky side at 1420kg - It is glass-fibre isn't it?

My Glass-Fiber LS6 runaround will be ~1100kg with Street and Performance ecu for 422bhp.

Nice though. I'll take 2.
