Default Z06 comming with a C5R block?
Reason I ask is if its not a C5R then we should wait and see how much this block will cost?If it is a C5R then of course most guys would go 402 LS2 simply because of price.

What he said. The price of a 427 shortblock wouldn't be much more when you look at the price of a LS1-LS6 block compared to a LS2 block. Could be worth the wait

It'd be great of the ZO6 came with a 4.125" bore block. However, I'm skeptical. I doubt it will

There is rumor that it is related to or a 'variation' on the C5R block.

It's not a C5R block but, is still a big bore block.

Read this thread for more info. Post #54 shows the casting number which is different then the C5R block but, read the whole thread. Good stuff.
