No, seriously, it was a 12.18. That's no joke. He slipped the clutch at 3500 on stock tires.

A 12.81 on a stock Z06? Who's driving, a person with a wooden left leg? My Z28 ran a 12.9 bonestock.

well the current record in a completely stock z06 even tires is j-rod 11.78 or thereabouts so 11.18 would be big news not to mention physically impossible. although ive never seen him run in person ive got vids of his driving and he can bang some gears.

Yes, I know 11.18 isn't possible. I put it there to see the reactions. It's like putting tabasco sauce on your Cheerios.

Its amazing. The new STS-V in the mag ran a 13.0. Of course, that car prolly wasnt even broken in yet. And can u imagine what a chip, pully, and exhuast will do? The cobra guys wont be talking about "bigger displacement" anymore when they get run down by a 4285 pound caddilac. 4300lb caddy with a 440horse engine. Doesnt that put the STS-V at around 400 horses at the rear wheels?
Man...That CTS-V is amazing. I can easily see it going mid to low 13s with 335rwhp. For comparision, an 04 Ford Lightning will put down about 335rwhp, and cross the traps at 13.7ish. How would you love to roll up to that guy with your caddy? How much more would you love to see his face after you keep up with him and pull?

By the way...that Lightning weighs in at 4670 base curb weight.

either way 10's or 11's it will be the fastest production car for 2006 in the u.s. hell a cam, dr, and a good driver and it will be low low 10's no other manufacturer is even close, well the closest is the viper and who wants one of those, wish it had a back seat for the kids , i would consider selling the hd and putting a car seat in it j/k. besides If I cant pull a boat with a vehicle or get to my favorite hunting spot then its out of the question for me , just my other hobbies getting in the way of me having a really fast car, any way I cant wait to see one at the track a low 11 second car with a 36 month warranty who would have ever thought chevy would come around , good job chevrolet. I wonder what they will cost any one know or have an idea , the engine is suppose to be hand built, thats gonna hurt your bank account. if I had to geuss I would say around 75'gs any one want to enlighten me feel free.

On second thought if I really had the kind of money to purchase one of these bad boys I would probaly just dump another 15 grand in my truck fully build the 496 all the way, fully build the allison tranny, slap a super charger and a 200 shot of giggles on this beast and lay down some 10's myself. Then again thats the Alabama redneck coming out in me, of course I would like to see the look on the face of the guy that just purchased this new zo6 when he got pulled by a 6000# 2500 hd crew cab 4 wheel drive truck with all terrain tires on it and a tool box full of tools, with a 10 point buck hangin off the tailgate. Now that would be priceless, talk about pissed I would be one unhappy z06 owner , of course this will never happen unless publishers clearing house knocks on my door very soon,I am waiting , still waiting , Ok I am gonna wake up and come back to reallity now. all things being said I am proud of chevy for stepping up to the plate with a 427 now we are talking true hot rods again , it makes me proud .
