is it also an aluminum 427 like the regular z06??

no it's an iron 4.3 V6

i heard rumors that they are having problems with the c6r and they might have to continue racing the c5r for a while

R&D said they were having handling issues, expected with an entirely new chasis (even if it resembles the previous car), but that was like 4 or 5 months ago.
