Sorry bought that guys...... I was thinking about the early articles of the Ls7, when it Was scedualed to come out with the DOD.

I've seen screen shots of the the little digital readout for mileage on the guage cluster reading 29mpg. I've heard a rumor of someone getting somewhere around 31. motorweek got 24 highway out of it. good enough for me.

Obviously those that are posting in this thread do ... if you do not...there are many other threads that you may be interested in posting some kind of constructive input...who the hell cares really is kind of juvenile don't you think.. and does not add anything to the discussion..

I'll tell you cares, guys with Vipers. Even if they are rich they hate that another 500hp car exists and gets twice as good gas mileage. 10mpg may not hurt a rich person's wallet, but their lazy *** has to fill up constantly still.

i'm sure those who thouroughly enjoy the car while driving it get an average of about 12mpg at best... like my t/a. im sure i can get somewhat decent gas mileage, but i get really bored easily when babying it around town, so i wind up with an average of 14/15mpg (50% city/50% highway).

Last time GM did DoD(that I recall) it was a disaster. They tried it on caddilacs. Then again when they first tried Aluminumn blocks on caddilacs they were so pourous that oil leaked through some blocks.
Beating the Gas guzzler tax is great, but seriously if I am shopping for a car in the 70-80k range, and its got to be a topend performer, I will not be basing my decision on fuel economy or gas guzzler taxes.
