LS7 Connecting Rod Length?
Does anyone have any hard facts regarding this?
The three basic measurements that, according to GM, classify a cylinder case as a 'Small Block' are bore center-to-center distance, cylinder case deck height, and lifter bore diameter.
All Gen 1, 2, 3, and 4 small blocks share these 3 dimensions:
4.4in Bore Center-to-center
9.240in +/- 0.003in Cylinder Case Deck Height (measured from crankshaft centerline to flush top surface of cylinder bank)
0.843-0.844in Lifter Bore Diameter
6.098in would be identical rod length to that of an LS1/6 so I could see that. Hopefully they are 6.125in. Again, anyone know for sure?
