Default LS7 crank in a LS2 block?

I assume the new LS7 crank will be a forged piece, wouldn't that make it a good alternative instead the Eagle crank?

Yeah but it is going to cost more than the Eagle...the stock cast cranks are almost as much as the Eagle.

The crank is also slightly differnet becasue it has the provisions for the dry sump which is in essence two oil pumps. So there would be some fab issues which would need resolving.

Oh well, I was hoping that it would be forged, high quality, and a little cheaper than the Eagle.
