Default New Z06 engine questions

Whats forged inside from the factory?

Is it as good as a Lunati stroker kit? at least a 427 kit?

Whats the easiest way to 550 RWHP with a forged bottom end installed or whatever it already has if its just as good?

I am assuming you're talking about the LS7?

If so, there are like 3-4 threads covering these topics in the top 10 threads in this section. Check them out there's some good info in there.

Here is one to get you started ....

Thanks.

So, I guess if I went to a sponsor and said to build me a badass streetable daily driver engine from scratch, it would be hard pressed to produce more power than a slightly modded LS7 engine, is that correct? Because there aren't any stroker engines putting down 600 RWHP on pump gas, N/A. Just a cam and exhaust change and people think the LS7 will go 600 RWHP, thats just insane.

Well, it is 427ci ... I think there are a few 427's in the 600 range.

Also, as far as I am aware, this info is pretty much all educated guesses. I have yet to see a dyno chart of a 600rwhp LS7. So I would take it with a grain of salt until people start reliably and consistently putting down the numbers they are guessing they will.

I don't think it will be a problem putting down 600 rwhp with the new heads and intake system. I know of a few ls1 based 427 putting down 600 so with the new design it will be a lot easier.
