Default H/C ls7 or forged and single turbo ls1?

Trying to decide which would be a better combo for my 00 ss? I either want to forge a stock cubed bottom end and slap a PTK single turbo on it for a really fast street car or build a custom ls7 with H/C kit on it and some long tubes. Both would be around 600 rwhp give or take and I believe both would cost about the same which do you think would be more fun, reliable, fast? Need a new block anyway since I want to keep the original heads and motor in case I ever want to sell her. A 427 sounds pretty cool so does a turboed ls1 can't make up my mind. Just looking for help making up my mind. thanks for any inputs.

i would say turbo ls1.. turbo will give a better power curve.. plus it should be alot cheaper than going the way of an ls7

Turbo it is! Though I can't fully decide until sdpc posts the prices for the block heads intake rods etc. If block is under two g's and heads under 3 g's then it might be more affordable than we all think. the six grand for the turbo will pay for the heads and block and intake. Which would get better gas mileage do you think? Car is a daily driver.

assuming good tuning, etc. I would think you could get better gas mileage w/ turbo, IF you're not running high boost all the time.

good luck getting turbo big enough that will feed a 427 at high rpms you'd be rinning something in hte 90-100mm range
