Any issues running LS2 on 98 PCM

looking to start putting together a new motor and just wondering if there has been any issues running a 98 PCM w/ the LS2 other than the extension of some of the harness. I did some searching and it looks like it will but the posts were old and i wanted to see if anyone else had some information before i pull the trigger on this.

I dont know if this helps you but TSP put a 402 in my 98 c5 without any problem call them.

yeah best bet would be to hit up one of the sponsors. they have been dealing with this since the beginning and there are out there so someone has the answer.

i hate to bring this back up after 2 years but does anyone have an answer to this, i am swaping a LS2 into my 98 trans am and my HP is set to 98's only so i want i keep my pcm.

Is this a stock LS2 shortblock including crank? If so, the stock LS2 has a different reluctor wheel on the crank that will not work with the LS1 PCM (including 98).

that depends on the year of the LS2
some of the 2006 and I think all of the 2005 had the same reluctor teeth as a LS1

yeah, depends on year.. I believe the grey CPS's are 58x and black are 24x as a reference to the wheel installed.. We used a 98 PCM to run a LS7 swapping out reluctors, but I wouldn't go that route again with what's available now adays..
