Sorry I missed that part. So with the increased spring pressure AND the greater surface area, this clutch will definitely have a higher torque rating than the LS6 clutch.

Does someone want to buy a ls7 flywheel so I can see if it will work?

Also of you look at the preasure plate looks like it has more fingers than the Ls6. I'm no expert but that would also increase the clutch's clamping force.

I dont get it... Does this mean that the LS7 pressure plate needs to have a raised surface to make contact the disk? Alternatively, could it have recessed areas where the PP bolts up to it?

What is the difference in gap between the flywheel and LS6 and LS7 PPs? And are the clutch disks the same thickness?

From Bearman over at LS7power.com:

"The LS7 pressure plate has a self adjusting feature that might be the reason for the gappage he is seeing. There are toothed fingers on the top surface that all need to have at least one tooth showing to be good. Tell him to not fiddle with the autoadjusters because if any of the fingers do not show at least one tooth, it is no good. Is he also using a LS7 clutch plate??? I do believe that the flywheels are interchangable. I will check with the LS7 DRE and ask him tomorrow."

So the gappage could be a normal part of this setup?

I don't see why it wouldn't work.

This doesn't include flywheel, right?
If not, Why would I want to take the chance with this clucth if I can get a Spec Stage 3 (which I know will work) from a sponsor for $419.99?

Any updates?

Killer_Bluebird.. if it works it will be great since the clutch should be as easy to drive as stock and hold a decent amout of power whereas the Spec 3 is no where near stock driveablity (especially the clutch slippage I desire for my setup that a Spec 3 doesn't give me) compared to the LS2/6/7 clutch. IMO of course. Not to mention all the SPEC horror stories that keep popping up these days.

THe LS2 Flywheel will work with the LS7 Clutch. The LS7 runs a LS2 Flywheel.
