Default what all to have done to heads

I can get any machine work done for free, what should be done to ls1 heads? what valves, springs, etc? daily driver, pretty decent cam tho, will spray later on.

move it over to the LS1 specific section and you'll get some more responses.

Sometimes free ends up costing you money. If you want to port your heads have it done by somethat has a proven record. Any one can machine. it takes talent to port.

This shop has done plenty of LS1 heads, I wasn't aware my grandfather grew up with the owner, so I know for a fact its not going to end up costing me a dime, and its not ust some random shady shop.

If they have done heads before. I would recomend :
2.02/1.57 valves-Brand your choice.
Springs -Comp dual springs
Small port work go for the high velocity
Mill the heads a little bit.

yea I was thinking that but not those springs, and 215 intake runners, I may not be going with as big of a cam as I though since I am going FI after all.
