Z06 in Motor Trend
The October '05 issue of Motor Trend has a good article on the '06 Z06.
Not estimates here, M/T tests. Ok, 0-60 in 3.5 secs and 1/4 in 11.5 secs @127.1 mph. Very good considering the fastest recorded times for the new Ferrari 430 was 0-60 in 3.5 secs. and 1/4 in 11.7 @120.1 mph.(http://www.roadandtrack.com/article....&page_number=2)

The trap speed for the Z06 indicates that it is more traction limited than the Ferrari. Put 'em both on slicks, and watch the difference in ET go from 2/10 to closer to probably a good 8/10 to a full second.

Yeah but Road and Track tested that Ferrari, not MT. Did you see R&Ts test of the new Z06? Pathetic, they busted like a 12.2@116 or some godawfull time like that. Not taking up for the Italian, I'm just busting on R&T, the new Z06 is awesome.

I know my jaw dropped when i saw 11.5@127 i was expecting impressive times but thats pretty damn soild. Even with it being from the standard not worth a damn magazine. Guess thats what a LS7+3100lbs gets you!

And I think it only uses 3 gears to get through the 1/4...

Kurt, any chance you might have a graph? Just curious what it looks like!

You say the car dynoed at 454 rwhp, and that car weighed in at 29xx lbs. But according to GM specs, the Z06 weighs in at 3130 lbs, so how can this be? Or am i missing something that I don't know about? Thanks
Also, like previously stated, do you have the dyno graph for that pull?

Why is the year 2005 Corvette??? At any rate, those are HUGE stock numbers... DAMN.......................... For the price! HOLY ***********************!!!
I thought the ASE rating for the new LS7 was 505 hp... does this mean 505 dynoed HP or what does this value mean to anyone?
