Short of buying a C5R or LS7 block, you'll need a re-sleeved LS1 or LS2 block to get to a 4.125" bore like the 7.0 genIIIs. There are sponsers that sell them here --->

You need a re-sleeved block. We have one 427 and one 440 CI LS2 on the go right now. Best to do an LS2 sleeved block because they are a dry sleeve type.

The 427 should do in the 550 rwhp area and 500+ rwtq. The 440 is a solid roller race engine. I can't say what this one should make. My customer would not appreciate it. Both of these are based on our Dominator series engine platforms.

Re-Sleeved block is $3200. Heads vary in price. I do my own and am a dealer for AFR and ET. Also, what intake? Shoot me a PM or e-mail.

Have you been using ET heads on any of your engine packages? If so, can you share any results?

this might be a cheaper alternative......... get the 6.0 liter iron block, bored .060 over w/ a 4.125" stroke crank. you'll save money on the block, and machining. i don't know how much more the crank is from the usual 4" stroker cranks.

Would that make 447ci, Cause i dont know anyone that has that in there F-body yet, Im not saying there isnt anyone, If anyone has one of these let me know what kinda power your putting down.

Mikey I might be in touch soon, I looked today and my heads are leaking around the top seal where the blaster coils are , good excuse for a new motor though

Champ the LS2 is the new Alloy 6.0, the ls2 has a lot more meat supporting the bores & can be sleeved (with a stroker crank) to give you 427ci,

Iron or alloy depends on budget, weight restraints, future development possibilities

The 2005+ LS2 is an aluminum 6.0 liter block, the 6.0 liter iron truck block is like the LS1.

Ding Ding Ding.. makes most sense... already done... cheap... holds lots of power... stroked and done... either way you will need to pistons no matter what you do.. so the cost to sleve/and new pistons i'm sure will out weigh the cost of stroking... a stroked 427 is still a 427... one is cheaper, heavier & can handle more power.. no heavier isn't a good thing but you win some you loose some.

02bluess has this exact motor in his car... ask him how he likes it. he's getting 515 rwhp through an a4 and a 12 bolt. runs 10's on motor at full weight........... i think that's gettin 'er done.

MTI had the shortblock package for a while... looks like they dropped it. but this guy 02bluess has it, with MTI heads and a BIG MTI cam. if i had the money i would have done that. but i didn't so i went with an iron block 402 shortblock.
