I spoke to a guy in San Diego that builds LSx engines for sandrails and he claimed to get 10hp more with a ported intake. He also said something about internal leaks between the ports also...

Default Just ported LS2 intake

I just finished porting and installing an ls2 intake on my car. I will be dynoing it on friday. My first time at the dyno was with a borrowed fast intake and ls2 throttle body and made 450 rwhp @ 6200rpm.

I cut the bottom out of the ls2 to gain access to the internals. I made it look as close to a fast intake as possible. The fast intake does have larger volume runners due to height. I will let everyone know what it makes compared to the fast.

Hey guys, I just got back from the dyno. The ls2 intake made exactally the same top end power as the fast. the ls2 out pulled the fast from 3300 to 4200, then the fast out pulled the ls2 untill 4800.. after 4800 the lines were on top of each other within a few hp and Ft.lbf untill 6700 where my af ratio kept going 11:1. I will get the graph up this weekend for all to see. Hope to save all of you some cash.

Could you give us some more detail on how you did this? Maybe pictures? Resealing of the intake? This is great info just need a little more detail. Thanks

Was the FAST intake stock or ported?
