Weak sister I am new here, please be patient.
My C4 has a very tough clutch: stroked unit and never any clutch problems.
My C6 has what feels like a Honda clutch and the feel in take up is vague at best. I think this is going to be like a C5 unit; that is, a weak sister clutch.
Am I the only one who feels this clutch is poor? Any info appreciated.
From what I can glean (first time here) it seems the upcoming 427' - Z06 has a clutch that is a direct bolt in: is this accurate?
If not it will have to ba a SPEC or McLeod unit.
PS Make me glad the drag car is an auto unit.

I am not sure if your clutch pedel is the same on your C6 as the C5 but the c5 clutch pedal has a spring (spring makes it easier to push clutch down) If you take the spring out. It will stiffen up the pedal and you will get a better feel from it. It take about 1min. to take the spring out just look under the dash at the clutch pedal and you will see the spring just pop it out and try it . There are alot of vette owners including me that have done this and like it.
I like the way my LT1 M6 shifted better to begin with as well. The clutch just felt like I was pressing down on one big spring. The LS1 M6 feels like... it's stiff right at first then real free. The action is in the middle instead of the close to the floor.

Didn't know ablut the spring - thanks. The C4 is hydraulic as I have replaced the system but it feels both sturdy and takes immense abuse.
I think if/when I need a clutch I will probably go with the new Zo6 unit.
