Well, there are more then one ....

... there are 2 holes on each side which the LS1 knock sensor can just screw right into. One is near the motor mount, and the second is kinda hard to find but is in the back of the block....

The link has a picture of the one on the passenger side. It's very close to the starter. The one on the driver side is right under 3 and 7 plugs about the same place as the passenger side. They both required tapping. They also pick up knock well.

Yup, and definately be sure to disconnect your battery before attempting to put the one near the starter in ... it's not a big deal, until you drop the knock sensor onto the starter, and it showers you with sparks ....
