You might want to check into how you interface the LS7 crate engine to your car... If i remember correctly, there wasnt a compatiable ECU that could be bought... I'm guessing guys are customizing one to work.. Sooner or later i'm sure an aftermarket ECU will be available. As for now, it may be best to wait it out, and let some of the bumps get worked out! Some food for thought!

 

First round of crate LS7's from GM --- approximatley 100 engines. Demand is much greater than the supply! We will see some more availability after the first of the year and I expect the pent-up demand will have subsided some by then. But, the supply will still be limited. We have been working with a supplier on ECU's, prototypes are finshed! I think we will have some units here by mid-December.

 

Was that $1.3-1.5M in sales to all dealers or just SDPC?

 

David, the wait for an LS7 sholdn't be as long this time. But, I put my name on the list in March and just got mine on Friday. The 100 engines that GM sold was to all of the distributors; not just SDPC. I think SDPC got three.

Given that there were 100, you might still find one available, but not likely. If you have a favorite distributor, maybe you can get them to contact their GM rep to see if anyone's got one available.
