Not yet. If the weather is nice here I'm going to put some miles on it this weekend.

How do you like running with no cats? I ran like 2 weeks with no cats on my current jet hot setup and wound up putting them back in. Now I don't know what I should do with the 402. Is there a very noticable rasp?

I have been running with no cats for the last 4 years. The combination of the Hooker muffler and Flowmaster collector in the Y pipe help minimize the rasp, but it's still loud.

Hang in there. I started planning and building mine last November and just got it running. What else do you need?

Thanks for the support, it is appreciated. What's really hard for me though is that I've been TWO years on this now.

The car itself has been fully restored, painted, all new interior, etc. The 9", engine and trans are also all in the car; basically we need to get the entire turbo kit and exhaust put in, wiring done, turbotune, break-in, etc. We've got a lot done, but still have quite a bit to do.

Bruce Hawkins is doing all of the labor for me (www.hawksthirdgenparts.com), but the money I was supposed to have last spring (selling a piece of land) didn't come through. Should FINALLY be closing on the sale of the property next month, then I can pay Bruce and he'll be able to get back onto my car and get it finished. I have NOTHING but GREAT things to say about Bruce and his guys, though. Just frustrating 'cause I could have had the car back this fall if things had gone right.

Sorry for the rant.

Ranting is fine. Just don't rush it; it isn't worth it. Take your time and do it right. I dropped my car off at a local shop to work out some bugs and speed up the process but wound up spending $$$ with very little to show for it except for more frustration. I enlisted some friends to help and it worked out fine. I will never again bring my car to a shop except to dyno.

BTW - Sounds like a beautiful car you have there.

Gino,
Did you get some miles on her this weekend? It was beautiful out. What problems did you have with this build? I know of another LS2 set up that some friends installed that had to have some major machine work done to it.
How is the tuning coming? Have you looked up Dynotune Usa in WaterTown SD? He has done some work on two 427's tuned to 530 each for some friends.

I drove it 135 miles this weekend and it ran great. I still have some minor issues to work out, but no big deal. I bought the shortblock from SDPC so they did all of the machine work (which was great). I'm still breaking in the new 12-bolt, but I did manage to hit WOT a couple of times and this thing is a beast.

Thanks. Can't go wrong with Mike at Rapid; he builds killer LS2 402's. What cam are you going to run?

Well the weather sucks my car is tucked away.

I was hoping to see some numbers from that bad 402.

You going to put a roll bar in it? I think I am going to do mine this winter and get it out of the way and ready for 10's...

Did you get that ABS sorted out?

No to the ABS. I did remove the front brake lines from the ABS module during the initial engine removal so I wonder if that was it. Not sure about the roll bar.

DrkPhx, what program are you using for your 402. I put about 150 miles on my 402 but the program that I am using is not that good for the 402.

My friend has been using EFIlive Flashscan with good results and we're not even finished yet. What are you using?

I am using my old program 428RWHP ls1. I turned the timming down to 24 deg and I still have knock if I try to get on it. I am not sure if it is timming or running lean.
