Finally got my LS2 402 running!!!!!
After numberous delays and setbacks it finally runs and it sound killer, but needs a good tune. This project has been 12 months in the making and it feels as if a huge burden has been lifted. Everything checks out with no leaks and excellent oil pressure (40 psi plus at idle). Amazingly the valve train is much quieter than my previous H/C setup. The only bummer is I have a brand new rear end which needs to be broken in properly before I can beat on it.
Here are the full specs:

Holy crap! You've finished the same internal setup (and nearly identical external and drivetrain) I'm building now, from '98 TA down to 3800 stall TCI converter! I'll definately be following your progress on this one. Congrats!
By the way, how's that Z06 MAF working out for you? I have a SLP 85mm one that I pulled the resistor on, and I'm already maxing my airflow with a stock displacement motor. I'm probably gonna have to run open loop...

V-10 Killer - How cool. The MAF seems to be working fine for now.
Texada - I hate to predict dyno or ET's at this point, but my goals were 10's n/a and maybe spray it next year depending how it goes.

Keep us posted am thinking of going the 402/225AFR route myslef depending on how they do compared to the 427/LS7 heads.
My friend is doing a 427/LS7, Head/intake that should be running by next year also. Depends on the cost = HP I guess....
Where you going to get it tuned.

What are you going to run for tires on the street? Keep me posted... I have pretty much all the same susp. mods except the K member and a-arms. (I will upgrade when I get some sort of new motor..). I just want to know how good it is going to hook on the street....
I was just asking about the tune, I may run down to Speed inc to have my current setup tuned in this fall yet. Just thought maybe we could wagon train it down if that is where you where headed.
Setup sounds like a winner...., take it easy on the rear....I had to do the same thing with the break in and laying off the gas and it was a tuff 500 miles!!

The LS2 is da bomb. Soo affordable, plenty of cubes, and tremedous power output. Slap some forced induction on there, and you can get as much HP as you could possibly want. I'm at 500 now, but she's going back for the blower here real soon.

Man I hear you there....... I have been wavering on the hightech for years and I just can't do it. It would be nice just to go somplace here in MN, but I guess I want it done right the first time.
Trailer....who needs a trailer..... ???? I am driving mine down.... One of these times I will get burnt driving my car to the tracks and back... But I love the idea of my car almost going tens and driving to the track and back home with the air on passing everybody with there cars on the trailer plus getting 20mpg..... My day for something breaking is coming.......

You will love it! Mine is running a stock ported TB, and LS6 manifold and a small mid 230s cam and it is 484 rwhp. With your bigger cam and LSx and 90 mm TB you should easily be well over 500 rwhp.
The other thing I love is the greater than 400 rwtq from 3000 rpm on up to 6600.
