Are you sure its not a 4L70E?

the BADDEST thing on the market would be an 8.1 or duramaxed Trailblazer.

still wouldn't tow worth a crap- the wheelbase is too short.

Now that's weird, It's listing things as 1700 mile away from a city that would seem to be right down the road (San Diego to Long Beach). Oh well, have to look into that closer

You wouldnt need drag radials on 4wd unless you were running 9's, if that.

are you sure you need to be going that fast before it can be justified?

There was a typhoon on 4 hoosier slicks at the street races. I dont think it was 9 second fast.

then again, towed in by an escalade on 20s on a trailer with matching wheels...

What kind of mileage are these SS's getting? My moms 03 LTZ gets about 17 average in the summer. Worse in the winter. My dad is looking at trading up to one of these.

There is a guy on the trailblazer/envoy forums that dynoed his 2wd with 221 miles and it put down 327 rwhp and 345 ft-lbs. He has the graph posted as well.

I'm going to put probably at least 1000 miles on mine before I take to see what it puts down. Currently I'm only at 400 or so after 3 weeks.

The AWD window sticker says 14 and 17. The 2wd is probably a bit better than that. I don't think it'll break any records for gas milage.

my 5.3L Rainier is about 16-17 normal driving (mix of highway and street) and about 19-20 on the freeway(85-90mph) when i'd take my trips to the northwest of WI. It's AWD too so I'd assume the SS would be pretty close. I don't think there will be much difference between the 2WD and the AWD because of the AWD not running all 4 wheels until it sense the slipping.

If I remember correctly the 2 wheel drive was 15/19, not significantly less than the smaller engines. Seems like any relatively heavy SUV sucks gas.

Yeah, that is what I found, you have to search by the City. That is what I did.

I test drove a black 2WD (cloth, sunroof) at Landmark Chevy (I45 North) tonight. It was a nice truck, still felt overweight, even with an LS2 in it. It sure had some lag between shifts, torque management must be hell in these things. Overall, it was a nice truck. I expected it to haul a little quicker in stock form though. It didn't feel any quicker than the fullsize GM trucks I've driven.

They offered it to me at sticker minus rebate ($3500?). Of course, the sticker was missing, so I couldn't verify what 'sticker price' actually was. It came out to $31,995 after the rebate. Nice truck, just not sure its $32K nice.

I haven't test driven or even seen one but how quick are the GM trucks. Are there any even in the mid 14s stock? I didn't think so.

I bought an ss (hers) that was headed for the dealer but now they can't find it. They say once it's purchased it falls off the system (makes no sense to me). Not a happy camper. Does anyone know when onstar is activated? Maybe they can find it that way.

Anyway, if I ever get it, I will let you know how well it does in the qtr mile.
