Now that the TBSS AWD is here,the wife wants to start racing with me and get going on the mods to run with the Camaro(2 SS's in the same family,lol)
Maybe a convertor ,cai,fab an electric fan on to it, a better breathing cat back system and a tune will get things going.

$399 is a good price ,i think.
Shoot,it's $500 for me to get the Camaro tuned. Still haven't done it yet!

Seat of pants feel is great...I would guess 13's stock no prob...(all be it high 13's)!!!!
And yes the CTS-V is gone

I picked mine up 2 days before thanksgiving, it's a 2wd lt in superior blue metalic, I don't have any dyno numbers and our local tracks are closed, but I have been playing with my g-tech. Stock with less than 100 miles on it 0-60 in 5.61, 1/4 in 14.09. with 1000 miles on it 0-60 in 5.49 and 1/4 in 13.98. I then removed the screen from my maf sensor, removed the cover from the air filter, replaced the stock air filter with a cotton one from autozone ($25), and removed what looks like a silencer or something thar blocks air from entering directly under the air filter and sealed the hole with duct tape. It then gteched 0-60 in 5.31 and 1/4 in 13.76. traction is not really an issue right now, optimal launch is bringing the revs to about 1600 and then smoothly (not just mashing it, that does induce wheelspin) going WOT. It is a 4l70e tranny, the four colors listed earlier in the thread are correct. Msrp on mine was 38005, i had no problem negotiating a $3,000 discount in addition to the current incentive, which was $3000 but GM lowered it to 2500 when the red tag sale came out. the red tag sale price was only 200 less than the price I had already negotiated, so the dealer had to add $300 to what he paid me for my trade to keep it equal. I'm going to test drive a loaded AWD model tomorrow. Got a quote for 358 a month for a 27 month lease with no money down. This is with the GM Employee price of course but that is a steal. A 42k vehicle for 358 a month I cannot pass up. Couldn't pass up my 04 GTO for 225 a month on a lease. I used to be a foreign only car driver but these high HP V8s GM is putting out has definitely taken my heart

If I were to buy one I wouldn't buy the awd because personally it seems useless for the 6 weeks of snow we have all year. I'd bet that the 2wd will end up being the bigger seller of the two simply because most of the U.S. either doesn't get any snow or gets not enough to suffer the extra insurance and fuel costs of the AWD. The AWD model may be a bit quicker on the street than the 2wd model with some good tires on it, but at the strip the 2wd shouldn't have any problem with hooking up. On top of that, powersliding an AWD is way more work and less fun. Now with some good programming and the torque converter from the 4.2L...
