I'll be giving SDPC a call I reckon.
I find that hard to beileve, I have never called LPE ,I had some questions about the LS2 based 427 and got a hold of ED and talked to him in depth about the engine using a Steve Demirjian Race Engine Development 427.
Ed said he could assemble the block when it was recieved from Steve
The price would be comparable to the 402 less block and Steve's Labor.
First call Talked to ED potter and now I will have LPE for my assembler
Top Notch!

I have bought a short block (ls2 402) from SDPC and Kris was very helpful and made sure i got my motor in 4 days of ordering it. The motor is running great and i am very happy with SDPC they are top notch guys. As for LPE there motors are more but then you can say you have a LPE motor in your car and when you sell it, The name will go a long way. You could probaly get more $$
