Is there a thread somewhere that details your plans for the build? I'm curious to see what parts you are choosing and what power levels you're after.
Actually I have decided to ditch the 58x wheel and put on a 24x one.. too much hassle and I have to get my project done.

Stage one of the project will be semi-mild..

LS2
AFR Stage II heads
Comp 230/232 .592/.595 114+2 LSA campshaft
hardened pushrods
ATS oil pan
LS2 throttle body
LS6 or FAST intake (depending on the dyno numbers)
Custom Long Tube Stepped Headers

Later on I might bolt on a magnacharger.

T/56 trans

6-piston Wilwood brakes and all the standard goodies.

AFR's? You should get ETP to send you some comparible 11* heads and do a write up w/ dyno numbers and stuff.

Isn't LS2 edit out now???
It has been "cracked". LPE is working with that ECM, and I'm about done with them. Right now I'm tuning an '06 Z06 with a Procharger. Just made a few WOT pulls so far, and this morning made one at 601 SAE rwhp. Still more there, but the cast pistons have me a little nervous with regards to spark advance. Not much timing in it right now.

Xtreme Motorsports in Pheonix/Tempe AZ swaps the crank reluctor when putting them into earlier cars. Might talk to them. You can talk to Chad about it at 480-517-4969. Should be no big deal if you are going to have it apart anyway.

Good luck, Ed

Thanks Ed.. are you guys to the point of reprogramming the 58x computers to run in older cars, or just for tuning?

I was going to swap the oil pan, but not mess with pulling the crank, the swap seems like a better idea in the long run. Thanks for the number to Xtreme, I will give them a call.

I need to verify I have the 2006 VATS located. If so, I should be able to do one for an engine swap, no problem. I need to poke around in the older LS1 code a little, might be able to do one of those for the new reluctors. If I get some free time (yeah, right) I'll see if that can be done. I'm thinking it should be do-able.

Yea, I will be going with Speartech for the harness and computer. I will go with Speed and Performance for the fly-by-wire pedal and some of the other parts like the fuel regulator and such.
