LS7 heads on ls1/2/6 pistons
LS7 heads on ls1/2/6 pistons Looks like it wont be a possibility. Spoke with Diamond, and they said the valve reliefs are way different. Not sure if I want to pull the motor to put new pistons in it...maybe I'll just put my direct port on it and call it a day.

Greg, check your email.
I am going to tear it apart anyway, and check the clearance. Diamond said the dishes are -.080..so that helps. Hopefully this works, my heart is set on the LS7 top end.

Lift isn't the issue. Its duration. IE a 250 @ .050 with .750 lift is gonna have the same issues as a 250@.050 with .500 lift. PtoV contact usually occurs at 8*-10* btdc and atdc. The piston is already gone out of way at max lift.
