Rapid Dominator Series 402CI LS2 Crate Engine

This engine made 553 rear wheel horsepower and 490 lbs/ft of rear wheel torque on pump gas! That's approximately 620 hp at the flywheel!

Built in-house by Rapid Motorsports. We use a new LS2 GM aluminum block and provide all the conversions necessary to retrofit any LS1 engine. We take pride in our engines and use the finest parts available. Fully Assembled Crate Motors are manufactured to the highest standards and include only the highest quality components. Our assemblies are lined honed square decked. All clearances meticulously checked and camshaft degreed.

Basically depends on which heads and what rods you want. You can have either package altered to get whatever you want. Both are great companies, but Rapid has always seemed a little high on there pricing compared to others.

For clarification purposes our crate engines now use the new Dart cylinder head. Our site will be updated.

The parts cost alone is what produces a higher selling price than other offerings. We are very strict on what parts we use and all prospective parts go though a very strict testing process before we decide what to use.

so what do you think is the limit of both N/A on pump gas? and what options to get there?????

Hey Chris. You getting our twin Rotrex kit yet?

Here is a dyno graph of our carb turn key version running on pump gas. Our standard corrected figures have shown almost 580 hp.

Our 402 N/A version can also handle enough nitrous to make close to 900 at the flywheel.
