C6 pan on a C5>LS1/6-- pics. I have been threatening to do this for a year and finally did. As you C5 guys in this forum know we all worry about losing oil pressure under lateral Gs and know folks who have lost engines as a result. If you look into a LS1/6 pan it is real shallow and wide thus the oil can wash to one side into the wing leaving nothing for the pickup. This is real obvious looking into the pan. GM is bragging about the C6 pan addressing this issue and it sure looks like it will. I bought one and mocked it up today and can see it should replace the LS1/6 wing pan no problem. The clearance to the cross member is fine and in fact the cradle is the same between C5/6
The LS2 pickup and "oil deflector" splash pan are the same as LS1/6 so all that is needed is the pan and dip stick. This is about $275 new(discounted).
This pan is sure going on my stroker in due time.
