Default modifying a manifold to fit

Hi all: Just an idea don't know if it would work. If the bolt holes and port centers are the same on these heads as the ls1, LS6 heads couldn't a good machine shop take a lingerfelter aluminum manifold and angle mill the runners to fit and port match the ports to the heads. It probably would only cost a few bucks. This way you could reuse your injectors and fuel rails etc. I don't know if the trottle body opening could be enlarged and drilled for a 90 mm trottle body? Some one might want to experiment with this. Just my thoughts.

how about a cable operated Tb like the NW fitting on this intake will it? Will the Tb need to be inverted so the blade opens the right way? For use on an F body.

Hmm....

I put the project on the back burner due to the other intakes existence.

The failure of the aussie manifold invasion makes me feel as if I should pick it up again.

Hey guys, a friend of mine who's in the same boat as you all just called me with part#12590124, the one you guys are trying to get ahold of from the the holden vechicles... I work in parts for a GM dealer & did some checking around with GM on this intake & here's what I got so far... Right now GM is testing this intake for quality assurance & a follow up date for me is April 13th.. Which means it will be released in the U.S., GM is just in a testing phase with it, as they do with any new part... As of now the current suggested list price from GM is $325... As soon as I get more info on this part# I will post up... Hope this helps you guys out.

Okay so the 12590124 is the right part number I'll ring a Holden dealer tomorrow to see if they have a price yet.

I don't think it will be under $325US as I was quoted $799.00 Australia Dollars ($584.29US) trade price on an LS2 manifold.

Cheers

Les

StreetnStrip, I edited my post as the part number 89017648 was incorrect.

Still no prices but I'll check again next week

Sorry I haven't posted earlier.... I just got off the phone with GM partech & they have bumped the follow up date to May 11th & the list price is still at $325... If any of you are having a hard time believing this, then simply call your local GM dealer with the part# & have them call GM... The part# is not in our system yet, so they will have to call GM partech, make sure you tell them this... I'll keep you guys updated.
