Default LS7 parts Questions

Well im gonna build a new motor shortly and im considering all of my options. Im most likely gonna use the new Warhawk block (427 with 4" stroke) so money isn't my biggest concern, but if I can save a little $ and still build a great motor than I will. Since after market cranks etc. are so expensive I started thinking about using some parts from the LS7. LS7 4" stroke cranks are about $650 a ls7 intake for about $260 and $1,700 for ls7 heads.

My questions are: Would the ls7 crank work well with my application or would I be better off going with a more expensive callie crank etc.? Has anybody compared (dyno) the ls7 intake against the ls2 intake and all the aftermarket intakes? Are there flow numbers yet on the ls7 heads?

I pretty sure the LS7 crank is longer in the fornt where the balancer is pressed on, so you would have to run a LS7 balancer for sure. I am not sure if would have any problems lining up with the current truck pulleys for accessories ?

Correct, the LS7 crank snout is longer and the LS7 has its own offset balancer which opens can of worms if this is project motor is going in anything other than a C5 or C6. The LS7 balancer will not line up with F-Body or Truck aceesory drives.
If you want to run the LS7 heads... or even the World LS7 heads then you'll need the GM LS7 intake or the GM LS7 single plane carburator style intake... or go custom sheet metal.
