I just expected more out of that cam, that's all. I don't see why everyone has to get so pissy/defensive here on LS1TECH.
This is quoted from Todd at AZ Power and Sound:

"Typically a good set of heads will add about 40 rwhp... with the AZPS02 and a set of AFRs or similar id like to see 460 rwhp+... we have found the 05 90mm intake to be a SEVERE bottleneck in power for the engine so a FAST 90 might get an additional 15-20 rwhp as well making 470+!"

He is speaking of a manual car. These numbers are great numbers but they are on par of what a G5X3 makes with a manual and the same mods.

since I was brought up....

We have two a4 ls2s driving around on our medium cam AZPS02 + FAST90 & headers....nothing else. Through 3600 converters, 'unlocked' those two cars are making 425/400

We did a ls2 gto M6 the other day, AZPS03 cam, headers, FAST90 ... nothin else and it did 450/406

These cars with heads would be absolutely rediculous.

However...the power LG made with his a4 vette are impressive as well. I used to run the x3 myself.

Those are awesome numbers. I'd like to see some results with an 11.25:1 compression AFR 205 or ETP 215, I bet you would be close to 500 rwhp with that M6 that made 450. Be sure to post some numbers when you do a HC setup, these cams are interesting. I guess you can't give durations on the 2 cams? Are they both larger than a G5X3?

AZP, I don't doubt you guys, but comparing cam "names" does NO GOOD.

Lets see some specs, and tech facts.

I've never heard of AZP, but from what I'm seeing, I can only gather that 05_GTO
is is your advocate, and you are buying into it.

You guys are really going out there number wise.
If you guys have a dyno, it must be a happy one throwing #'s around like that.

They don't give out the specs. If Todd wants to come in here and give some hints or whatever about the specs that's fine, I will not.

This thread was about throwing around dyno #'s. I just said I didn't find them to be that great. Then you guys kept on saying how great they were and there are maybe 10 H/C cars out there with autos making that power .

we actually use 3 different dynos around town randomly to go against comments like that. You can choose any of those dynos when your car is done and they will all be within 3-5hp of eachother. If ya want info on us you can check us out at ls2gto.com where a majority of our dyno graphs and discussions are

Cam names mean more then cam specs... Ive personally tested back to back quite a few cams with identicle specs at .050 that dyno 20+ rwhp apart... I applaud Lou for still keeping the specs secret because comparing cam specs from company to company is about as accurate as comparing BHP horsepower ratings from automotive companies.

Sorry your thread got hijacked Lou!

ok the g5x3 is about a 234-242 comp XER. is yours bigger or smaller ?, or about the same size, is it a comp grind?, the reason why i ask is i am putting a 232-234 XER comp grind, with a fast 90, and kooks 17/8's long tubes, and i was curious that i would see similer power gains, as you are seeing.
