I'd like more details on this too.

I know you need the wiring harnesses for the cam and knock sensors. You also need to use a cable throttle body. It's best to use a FAST or LS6 intake. I believe most everything else is a direct fit. oil pan?

F body balancer.
LS1 F body water pump ( Or try pulling an LS2 corvette pump pulley 3/4" outwards and tack welding to the shaft of an LS2 water pump).
LS1 oil pan to suit your car crossmember.
LS2 front cover incl cam sensor.

LS6 intake manifold, LS1 style injectors & LS1 style fuel rail & cable TB to suit

or FAST intake manifold, LS1 style injectors & LS1 style fuel rail & cable TB to suit

or LS2 intake manifold, LS2 injectors, LS2 fuel rail & 8 injector adapter harnesses & 90mm cable TB to suit

or LS2 intake manifold, LS1 injectors, injector (LS1 to LS2) O rings, LS2 fuel rail & spacers, & 90mm cable TB to suit

Screw LS1 knock sensors into side of block and buy an extension harness.
Buy a Cam Sensor extension / adapter harness.

Default LS1 to LS2 Conversion

Most of the components from the LS1 will cross over. The LS2 specific items are as follows:

Valley Cover
Front Cover
Timing Set
Timing Set Damper
Knock Sensor Harness
Cam Sensor Harness

Hopefully this will help you out.

I just bought an LS2 402 and was wondering where is the best place to get all of these parts? Cost?

SDPC sells a kit with all of the plugs, dowels, bolts, and the other parts listed above that are needed if you have a bare LS2 block It is $324.95. If you already have the block plugs and dowel pins we can delete them from the kit and it will lower the price.

I don't have them on our website at this time.

I set up a couple of kits since I posted about this last time.

LS2PK - $66.95 It has all of the oil and water plugs and the main cap side bolts.

LS2CK-1 - $249.95 This kit has the valley cover, front cover, timing chain, timing chain damper, crank key, lifter trays, and bolts.

LS2CK-2 - $289.95 Same as -1 kit but also has cam and knock sensor harnesses.

Hope this helps out.

No need to change computers. Everything is a plug and play for harnesses. The LS1 computer will operate the same due to the same signal inputs from the sensors.
