Default LS7 Fuel Rail and Intake Manifold ...

.
I'm putting an LS7 intake on my new ET heads, but I will need a new fuel rail and injectors. I've heard the stock LS7 injectors are 42#'ers or so, is this true? Also, will the stock LS7 fuel rail connect to the LS1 fuel line in a C5?

Would it be better to use a standard LS1 fuel rail, and normal LS1 style 42# injectors, or the LS7 setup?

Looking to support 550rwhp, with a stock feed line and racetronix intank pump ... car will be tuned with LS1 edit on stock LS1 pcm.

Thanks

LS7's are good for some serious horsepower. Yes, they are 42 lb/hr. The only thing you will have to do is chop the harness for the new injector.

I guess you could go with the ASA/3.8 SC injector, get the Katech o-rings and have them make up a spacer kit, because the one they have won't fit.

Yes, the fuel rail will fit right on.

Roughly when will the kit be ready... and what exactly does it include/do? I am going with a simmilar setup as xphantomws6x and want to know what other parts are required to make an LS7 intake/heads work on an LS2 in an F-Body...

Thanks!

It's 4 spacers, 10 o-rings (2 extra) and 4 bolts to use LS1 injectors on the LS7 manifold. It might be a couple weeks before the kit is ready. CNC is very busy and then they need to get anodized.

Default ls1-7

From what I see, The LS1 fuel rails will not work. THe angle of the dangle is different between the fuel rails and injectors. the LS7 injectors are straighter up and not canted as much. I am making fuel rails for mine right now so I can use Fast injectors and their harness.

I think it will be a killer setup for a 402.

.
What about if I went with LS7 intake, LS7 injectors, & LS7 fuel rail .... would that setup connect to the stock feed line of a C5?

If you do this to a LS2 rail (with clamps) you can use LS1 style injectors with LS2/7 intake.
Bolts up perfect.

I heard that the cable NW 90MM TB causes a lean condition with the LS7 intake... is there any truth to this... and how much is the kit? Thanks!

There is no truth to that. We use the UMI cable TB on our LS7 engines on the dyno with no problems. I have also confirmed from Myron @ TPIS that he has not had any problems with 90mm cable throttle bodies either.

I was told that the NW TB opens in the opposite direction of the LS7 TB and that is what causes the lean condition... does the UMI or TPIS open in the same direction as the NW?

Thanks...

It does not cause a lean condition. It opens top in.

I will be ordering this kit... what else is required to install an LS7 based motor into an Fbody? Will this kit allow me to keep my LS1 style injectors and stock fuel rail... or will I need a new fuel rail... If I need a new rail, does it have to be LS2 or LS7 and how much do they go for?

Thanks!

You can either space your LS7 rail up and use LS1-style injectors, or use our wiring adapter kit for LS7 injectors. I can discuss with you when you call.
