Default Comp 918 springs?

I need a little clarification hear before I fubar something.

Are the 918 springs that everyone talkings about the Comp Cam's 26918 (comes in packs of 12 or 16 or in the LS1 RPM kit).

I'm putting together my motor this week and have the following.

Comp Cam's LS1 RPM Kit 54100 (16 26918 springs, 16 7.4" rods, and 16 772 titanium retainers)
Comp Cam's 1.85 Roller Rocker Kit 13705 (rockers, guides, studs, and locks)
Lunati 60511 - 222/228 113LSA
The cam is listed as .567 lift with 1.7's and it will be .617 lift with the 1.85's

Basicly I need to know if the springs in the 54100 kit will handle .617 of lift.

I'm not hoping for alot, just a miracle

____Edit___
You know you're not in the right frame of mind when you can't spell Cam

I'd say they will not reliably handle that much lift, especially with 1.85 rockers. Why not use stock rockers?

Do you want to sell the 918's if you're not going to use them?

I just want to make sure the 918's are going to work with my setup.

It is not a question of how much lift they will handle. It is more a question of how many "rpm's" can these springs handle with your .617 lift combo. Just guessing I think 6000 rpm would be safe point to shift at. But miss a shift and valve float will happen IMO.

I believe the cut-off point for them is .600 lift. You can call Comp Tech line toll free and ask > 1-800-999-0853

I've heard .600 and .625 for the Comp 918s. Not worth the risk IMO. If they are rated to .625 and you lift to .617, I bet you're coil bind clearance is almost nothing..atleast not the .060 that is recommended.

Go with soemthing that will handle .650 lift if you really want to keep the rockers, but I personally wouldnt.

the Comp catalog says .600" max lift. I wouldn't risk it either. Wanna sell 'em if you don't use 'em? lol

Well looks like its time to RMA to summit, or else go have a chat with the boys at comp (since I'm in Memphis).

I would just stay with the stock 1.7 rockers! The 1.85 rockers will give your springs a hard time unless you have mild cam lobes.

Issue resolved...

Patriot gold's on a set of 2031's.

Now to find a shop that will not charge me an arm and a leg to install the new heads (then sell of the stock LS2 heads).
