Default What's needed to use LS7 oil pump on LS1

I planned on using a Barnes 5 stage dry sump pump on my project car. My plans for the car have changed a bit and would like to use the internal pump as opposed to an external belt driven pump.

Is this even possible, if so, what parts would be required. I already have a modified dry sump pan from armstrong race engineering.

You would need an LS7 crankshaft (balanced to a different bobweight), front cover, oil pump, crank gear, oil pan, tank, UMI AN adapter, custom lines, modified ATI damper, and probably a couple of other small quirks that I'm forgetting.

Glad you didn't ask me, I would have said "engine swap".

Wow, I wouldn't have thought that the Barnes 5 stage would be the easy way to go. I guess it is back to the original plan. Maybe I'll just run double pulleys and belts. I am worried about a belt failure leading to zero oil pressure.

Sounds like if I chose to go this route, best bet is to swap LS7 crate engine onto modified oil pan.

Bill, I need one of those either way.
