Lingenfelter is Boosting the LS7 Block....?

I was shocked to see the article in this months Road and Track after seeing some of the pictures posted here. The article states that they will build the 427CI with the LS7 or C5R block Anyone else surprized? Are we not giving the block enough credit?

Didn't Jay Leno use an LS7 TT in that torino he has? 1000+ hp. Granted it probably doesn't get beat on.....

in your post you typed the ls7 or c5r block. so they arent boosting anything yet.

it would surprise me if LPe went with the LS7 block
