Default trailblazer SS.. engine issues?

Hey ya'll, been looking at getting into a trailblazer SS and saw more than a few post spun bearings.

I know this isnt the trailblazer site and i already posted there, but does anyone here have any info on this? Is this a year/vin specific incident or it affects all of trailblazers ls2'z?

Truck seems promising and with a tune/intake and ss3600 stall, it has gone 12.6. Not bad!!!

check out our sister site that is dedicated to the truck end of things
performancetrucks.net
there is a link a few forums down and they have their own dedicated forum to the TBSS. Very quick trucks, I test drove one a few weeks ago, pretty nice, handle well and has good "get up and go"

yeah, been rading through those, thanks brandon.

I drove one yesterday and it felt quick. It was a 2wd and im interested in a AWD SS. I posted here to see if anyone had any ideas or any comments/experience with a ls2 spinning a bearing from factory...

I haven't heard anything on this. I would not think it would be specific to the trailblazer though. (vettes, ssrs and gtos) Only difference is intake.

I have one and it's nice. 14.01 stock and 13.65 w/ a tune for cold air but no cold air induction. Not too bad for a 4,500+ pound truck. It's crazy that some are in the 12s w/ tune, cold air and converter.

Are the AWD TBSS much faster than the 2WD, or does the extra weight on the AWD hinder its performance when compared to the 2WD?

helps with traction, just imagine AWD with a yank3000TT or 3600TT
holy madness!

right, i forgot!!!!

I test drove the TBSS again today and i was a bit disappointd to be completey honest. ITs a nice ride but i felt that the power delievery wasn't what i expected it to be and i was a bit taken back with the whole car. I took a good look at it for the second time and noticed the real feel of the vehicle since most first impressions when riding a car/truck for hte first time is usually different becuz of the first ride excitment.

I cant say that i hate the TBSS but its needs a bit more and i just felt dissapointed i guess.... but that is my opinion and im very ****....

BUT, i did get quoted a nice deal on a all black c6 z06.... marketed to 80k and not the usual 90k around here...

is that a normal price for the c6 zo6? it would be around 80k plus tag an title, but that is without me haggling it a bit....

So are you in the market for a car.. or a truck? I personally like the TBSS but I could see how you wouldn't if you were also looking at an 80,000 dollar sports car at the same time! What is your biggest hang up with the TBSS?
