Default LS2 exhaust manifolds

Any differences between them? I know they come in the Vette, the GTO, and the SSR..... are they all the same?

And...... does anyone have any for sale? Need a set to put on my 402 LS2. Might have a lead on one set from an SSR, but if anyone else has a set please let me know, in case it doesn't pan out.

Thanks.

I think the Vette and the GTO manifolds are the same, but the SSR are a lot different. They are styled more like regular truck manifolds.

Here's the Corvette manifold:

Here's the LS2 SSR manifold:

The engine fit in the SSR is pretty tight and I think the exhaust manifold flow may be compromised right above the flange because of that.

Interesting pics..... thanks.... cool to note the differences in the motor mounts as well....

I will most likely have a new Corvette manifold set for sale in a week or so. I'm expecting an 06 LS2 crate motor to arrive tomorrow and will be getting a custom set of headers done for it. I'll let you know if the stock manifolds are available for sale. Will most likely have the stock FBW 90 mm throttle body for sale as well.

BTW, stay tuned for more info on my LS2 swap project.... will likely be a bit different from the norm (hint.... it's goin into a very light vehicle )

Question

While reading through the post of Exhaust Manifolds I can't seem to find the information I am looking for.

If someone has a set of LS2 exhaust manifolds could you please measure the distance from the flange where it mounts to the head to outside of the flange where it connect to the exhaust pipe.

Not sure I am wording this correctly, but I am trying to fit a 6.0L into a '69 Chevy Shortbed Truck and the stock 6.0L truck manifolds hit the frame rails. I like the look of the LS2 exhaust manifolds, but need to make sure they will fit my application.

If they do fit does anyone have a set they don't need?

Thank you for your help,

Bob

Is this what you are looking for?? These are GTO LS2 manifolds.

Speartech, thank you for the reply.

Not sure if I am wording this correctly, but if you place the flange where it attaches to the head on a flat surface then take the measurement of the outside of the flange that the exhaust pipe connects to.

For instance on my truck manifolds from an '06 6.0L the measurement is 6.25"

I have attached some pictures to show how I took the measurements.

Maybe I am going about this the wrong way, but I need some manifolds that are closer to the block than my truck manifolds.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your help,

Bob

You are probably going to want F-body manifolds. They tuck in a little closer to the engine. I'll look and see if I have some pics with measurements.

Thank you for the reply.

I was hoping that manifolds off an LS2 Crate motor would fit because I like the way they look, but I definately need something tight to the block and exits toward the rear of the engine.

Thank you again for your help.....
