Default Will LS7 1.8 ex rockers fit LS1 heads on both intake/exhaust ??

Looks like a good way to go if your're looking for some 1.8 rockers.

Will LS7 1.8 ratio part# 12579617 exhaust rocker arm work without any mods on both the intake & exhaust ??

$158 for 16 of them shipped to your door thru gmpartsdirect.

Ya the LS7 rockers are way offset to one side. I thought of the same thing til I got a set to mock for some Harland Sharp full roller LS7 rockers.

The exhaust rockers aren't offset on the exhaust side. He's asking if the LS7 exhaust rockers could be used in place of stock LS1 intake and exhaust rockers.

I asked a GM rep at the SAE show last year and he said no. They had a cutaway engine on display.

This guy selling on ebay says that they work ???

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...DME:L:RTQ:US:1

question:
Item: LS7 Rocker Arms 1.8 ratio LS1 LS6 LS2 New (8058079550)
This message was sent while the listing was active.
slapsht25 is the seller.
answer:
valve angle has nothing to do with rocker arm ratio this i just like putting the slp's or yella terra's on excepth these are GM parts I've put 8-10 of these on my customer's cars with no problems

I think that the seller is Jay from Jay Fisher Pontiac, a real good guy.

I've emailed him for more info , as he says that he has installed a bunch of these.
I've also emailed 6-7 guys on ebay that have bought these from Jay to see if they have done the install yet.

I am currenlty in the process of installing them along with my LS6 head
swap..only have the passenger side done currenlty, but when I spin the
motor by hand, everything seems fine to me..this was on a 98 Trans Am
(LS1).
When the valve is closed, the tip of the rockers are nicely over the
stem (towards the bottom)...when the valve is open, the rocker tip moves
toward the center of the stem...looks like they should be fine with no
valve cover issues (unlike aftermarket 1.8 rockers)

IMHO i wouldnt bother with 1.8 rockers, i would put the money towards a nice cam that works well with stock rockers. just my .02 though.

These rockers would be great for the new 5.3 engines in the GXP, Impala, & Monty Carlo, as these cars shouldn't need a spring change.

A cam change on these DOD cars might be out of reach for a lot of guys.

A quick & easy way to maybe pick up 10hp, & put a 14.0 car into the 13.9s.

there is a thread in the internal engine section where there are pics. Most likely wont work as the rock is on the side of the stem when the valve is open.

I have a set here and they will not bolt on the bodies are offcenter from the bearings. Puts the valve tip off the rocker. FFHP was trying to go the other way and needed 1.7 ratio for a set of LS7 heads and the LS1 will not work there either.

Ya that was me...I WAS mistaken (hard to tell where rocker tip hit valve tip when on car) see my other thread...
https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/495308-how-bad-pic.html
I really didn't see how bad these were till I mounted one on my old head with spring removed & opened and closed the valve by hand...this MAY work on a stock cam, but anything bigger..no way. Pushrod size won't do jack to fix the problem.
Valve closed, it rests on flat part of valve stem, but open, it moves to the edge...very had to tell if it is on the flat part of valve, or on the actual corner.
I hear some have been running these for thousands of miles...I'd like to see the condition of their valves after this many miles
