Reluctor wheel swap

Reluctor wheel swap
I've got an 06' LS2 with the 58X reluctor wheel and want to swap it out with a 24X reluctor. What else needs to be done? I've heard that you need to change out the cam sensor when you do the swap. I just want to be sure before I send the motor to the shop.

You need to run a 2005 LS2 cam gear. Use the LS1 crank sensor also.

Because it's the only 2x cam gear trigger. LS1/LS6 was on the rear of the cam and 2006+ uses 4x.

I need to clarify this issue too and I'm not certain I understand. If I want to control an LS7 with a 2001 LS1 PCM, having it reprogramed of course, I know I need to install a 24X reluctor on the crank in place of the 58X reluctor. Do I need to make any changes in the LS7 camshaft itself or can I just install the LS7 cam sensor plug in the LS6 wiring harness? If I use the 2001 LS1 PCM I need to run a cable throttle body, right?

Cam sprocket on left is the one you want that will work with an LS1 computer. The cam sprocket on the right is the new sprocket that comes in the LS7 crate motor and LS2's (Corvette's) built, I believe, after 9/05. I don't remember if the LS7 cam sensor itself is compatible... you may need to get an 05 LS2 cam sensor and the necessary adaptor harness.

I am interested in doing something ... similar...
i want to put an ls1 computer onto an lt1... anyone have pics of an ls1 crank reluctor wheel... I think that is all iwould need to run the system on my lt1. It could be adapted like a FAST crank trigger?
Thanks

so i have a 07' ls2 and it has a goofy looking center bolt cam sprocket. i am putting a ms4 cam in which has the same bolt pattern as ls1. what sprocket do i need to get for it to work with my 2000 camaro computer, also what else has to be changes (knock sensor, cam sensor)?
