Default IS this a good deal or not...

New here and you guys from reading over the past 2 weeks here seem to know your LS1's. I was going to put my 3800 series II V6 turbo motor from my 2000 Grand Prix and convert it to RWD and put it in an 87 Dodge Conquest. After going for a ride with a friend in his 2000 Trans Am (stock) they seem to have very decent power stock, and upgrade parts are A LOT cheaper to buy than those for my 3800 engine. So have been looking for an engine and found this one. Here is the specs and tell me what you think.. is it a deal, good..bad or whatever.. Thanks in advance for your input!!

Specs:

New High Performance LS1 Style 5.7L Iron Block ,NOS !!
Iron Long Block LS1 Style 346CID 375Hp+Nitrous= 500+Hp

# LS1 Intake
# Cable style Throttle Body
# GM 28.5 lbs Injectors
# Factory Fuel Rail
# Iron 5.3L Block (Over bored to fit 5.7L LS1 Pistons)
# 10/10 Gm Forged Crank
# Speed Pro Competion Series Main Bearings
# Speed Pro Competion Series Rod Bearings
# Gm Cracked Rods
# Speed Pro Hypereutectic Coated Pistons
# LS6 High Flow Oil Pump
# Speed Pro File to fit Plasma Moly Piston Rings
# Comp Cam 558 563 212 218 115
# Comp Cam Chrome Moly Pushrods
# Comp Cam .600 Beehive Valve Springs
# Comp Cam Lifters
# 2002 LS1 241 Cylinder Heads Milled .030 with stock valves and GM Seals
# VR Performance Composite Head Gaskets
# Complete Engine Gasket
# Powerforce Balancer
# This Engine is Built for a NOS application of up to 250 shot. On the bottle I would expect 475+ to the rear wheels. The Engine has been run in our live run engine fixture to ensure the quality and reliability that is a must for our 12 month 12k engine guarantee.

Thanks David

This is in the wrong forum. but you didn't say how much. If it is free then hell yeah it is a good deal. I would expect 360-380 at the wheels on just motor out of this setup though.

Is this engine newly rebuilt? If it is it almost two good of a deal. Be careful.

Yes newly rebuilt, only run in on a dyno. Seen the pics and is VERY nice too..
The business built the motor for a customer, and this is what is owed, the guy I guess never picked it up..so he is trying to recover what he can...

I would say go for it, but only if you feel comfortable with the people that you are buying it from. I have bought some "newly rebuilt" stuff only to find out later that it wasn't the case if you know what I mean. good luck
