Default Thinking About Getting Heads

I've been looking at heads lately. The goat (LS2) has the AZPS02 cam, FAST 90 intake manifold, full exhaust, etc (mods on sig). So it's ready for some heads. I'm not really wanting to spend $2,000+ on AFR's. Looking to gain around 40RWHP from heads and new tune.

I've been reading and been told good things about the TSP PRC LS6 ported heads. For their price it seems they are the best.

I was also looking at getting the Stage 2 from TEA. Though buying cores then having to sell my stockers seems like a PITA.

What else would be suggest to buy with the heads? I already have the PRC duel valve springs, though if I order the TSP's I should just order the heads with them to make it easier.

I vote for the TSP 243s w/ the optional vavle job if u already have the vavle springs. The Darts would be another option but they'd be ~$700 more.

The ET 225s would make killer power on your car tho if you were willing to save for em.

I figure the less I spend on heads the more I will have for other stuff I want to do to the car. The TSP Stage 1 heads seem to flow well, especially for the price. Their PRC Stage 2 Dart heads seem good as well. $700 more but still got my stockers I could sell for $600 or so.

Talking from past experience and not very past, go with the AFR's man. I bit the bullet twice once for my first set which ended up not giving me the results that i wanted and now i had to go out and buy the AFRs to get the results that i am looking for.

Theres no doubt that the AFR's PROB will flow better than the PRC's but they also cost like $2500 and are out of stock right now or atleast they were last i checked, and the prc's are only $999, I know theres a saying you get what you pay for but thats alot of money for heads..

ET Performance or AFR's. They are worth the money. Save and do it right the first time.

Yeah we'll see. I may have to back out till I get a built tranny ready to go so when mine goes bye bye. I don't know if it could take a good set of heads for very long
