Yes move the ones under the valley cover and put them on the side of the block and you will need the extension wires for the knock sensor

bringing this back from the dead. So can anyone confirm using a 8.5mm drill bit first before using the tap im having a hard time with one. Also in a f-body configuration is there ant ill effects of using one of the other 10mm open holes instead of the lower ones?

Faster how? calculating parameters? I kno a LS2 has a bigger bore. But whats the benifit of converting your LS1 to a LS2? When you are just changing a few sensors and a valley cover? Yet you keep the same LS1 block..

Good tech thread here. Thanks. I did mine today using a 10x1.5 tap and a 11/32" drill bit. Like buttah.

PS I've also read that an 8.5mm drill bit works.

Ls2 conversion allows you to use the new and far superior ls3 heads. Most people only do the ls2 conversion after their ls1 grenades.

Even better yet...your setup looks quite impressive and car looks badass. Have you had it dynoed or been to the drag strip?

I just noticed you are from B.C.? I'm a little less than an hour away...I don't see too many of our cars around here!
